A Royal Visit

I delight in the arrival of Monarch butterflies each summer. The first arrived in my yard on July 7 this summer. 

This mini 4X4 inch painting is created with encaustic paint, some paper collage and a photo transfer of one of the butterflies that I raised from an egg one summer.
