I created Celtic Goose Taking Flight for the 2025 Celtic Roots Festival in Goderich, Ontario. It comes in 4 sizes of fine art quality giclee prints on hot press bright white paper.

Celtic Goose Taking Flight

For the Celts, the goose symbolized protection—
guardians against aggression.
Fierce in defence and faithful in migration,
geese were buried alongside warriors
in Iron Age graves across Central and Eastern Europe.
At Caerwent, the goose accompanies
the peaceful healer god, Mars Lenus—
a protector against disease.
In Christian lore, it became a symbol
of the wild, mysterious, and untameable Holy Spirit.
Created just as Canadians were beginning to “get their elbows up,”
this goose, taking flight, honours a spirit of courage and connection.
Chosen to represent the element of air,
the sun at its heart evokes life force and renewal.
The dragon of fire fuels its wings,
balanced by the swimming fish—its link to water.
A tree grows along its body and into its wings,
reminding us of our rooted connection to the earth.
