Workshops

 

For the month of May 2026,  I am offering a series of three encaustic workshops. These will take place in my back yard art studio at 89 Britannia Rd W in Goderich, Ontario -  All materials are provided. Please note the studio is accessed by a flight of stairs. Maximum 4 participants per workshop ensures personal attention and a relaxed creative atmosphere.

The workshops begin with a demonstration of the basics of application and fusing and then some additional decorative techniques that include, scoring, stencilling, embedding and transfers. Students will then have the class to explore and ask questions as they freely create.

An additional getting ready hand out will be sent to students prior to the workshop for those who like to plan ahead and might want to bring small objects to embed in their work. 

Full payment is required to secure your spot. Refunds are available up to 3 days before the workshop date

FULL - Encaustic Hearts and Stars for Mother's Day

This 2-hour workshop offers the opportunity to explore the basics of encaustic painting and create a small series of heart and/or ornaments just in time for Mother's Day.

Fee - $60 per person

Beginner Encaustic - 3 hour

This workshop provides you with the basic information to get started with encaustic paint and offers a variety of techniques to explore for the afternoon. This includes fusing, stencilling, gouging, transfers, embedding and more. You will produce a small series of paintings.

Fee $85 per person
