Workshops
Workshops take place in my back yard art studio at 89 Britannia Rd W in Goderich, Ontario - All materials are provided. Please note the studio is accessed by a flight of stairs. Maximum 4 participants per workshop ensures personal attention and a relaxed creative atmosphere.
The workshops begin with a demonstration of the basics of application and fusing and then some additional decorative techniques that include, scoring, stencilling, embedding and transfers. Students will then have the class to explore and ask questions as they freely create.
An additional getting ready hand out will be sent to students prior to the workshop for those who like to plan ahead and might want to bring small objects to embed in their work.

Summer Samplers
For July and August I am offering a small series of 2-hour morning workshops — designed to keep things cool in the summer heat.
You'll learn the fundamentals of encaustic painting: fusing, brushwork, image transfer, scoring, and embedding found objects — and leave with a series of 3-4 miniature paintings to take home. Whether you are an absolute beginner or have some experience, encaustic painting is a generous medium that invites creative play.
Bring your favourite small finds from the beach or collections at home and incorporate them into your artwork.
All materials provided. Maximum 4 participants.
$70 per person
Summer Refund Policy Full refunds are available up to 7 days before your workshop date. Workshops cancelled by me due to extreme heat will be fully refunded regardless of timing.

Three Hour Beginner Encaustic
This workshop provides you with the basic information to get started with encaustic paint and offers a variety of techniques to explore. This includes fusing, stencilling, gouging, transfers, embedding and more. You will produce a small series of paintings.
$85 per person
Two Hour Encaustic Sampler
This workshop introduces you to the basics of encaustic paint with a selection of techniques to explore. This includes fusing, brushwork, transfers and embedding. You will leave with a small series of miniature paintings.
$70 per person
