BOAR OF WISDOM, 2026

The boar has been called perhaps the most important zoomorphic symbol for the Celts — guardian of the forest, carrier of wisdom and courage, associated with feasting and hospitality in this world and the next.

At its hip, a well holds three swimming salmon in a triskele, echoing the Salmon of Knowledge. Beside the well, we remember the tree whose nuts feed both salmon and boar. A crane watches from above; a dragon spirals fire toward the snout. At its heart, a sun — reminding us to stand in the light of our own wisdom.
